The 26 cars in Indy was EXTREMELY rare. You don't even know how rare that was. I think it wsa successful due to it's early in the year timing. Lucky thing about it was it didn't rain. If it rained, I bet you could count the attendees on one hand. Hard to plan a major meet and hope that it...
The reason why organizers throw in the towel is due to lack of participation. The organizers had *10* trohies for this meet. All purchased out of their own pocket. Some of the raffle items were also purchased out of their own pocket. A few years ago, 3 people got stuck paying $500 (the...
There wasn't many supras there due to no one showing up. Most of the meet stuff is held on the weekend and that's when the core group is there. You'll get stragglers on the very ends of the meet, but for the most part, you won't. Every meet is like this.
I had the AC switched to 134 in the...
Umm... Ohio???? I was there from about friday at 9pm to Sunday at 4pm.
We didn't do the raffle due to low attendance. There were about a dozen momo shirts to give away. A very nice, and large (3footx5foot), momo calandar. There were also about 5 dyno trophies that were not handed out due...
As I was driving home from dayton today.. I was thinking of doing this. getting a spare cluster and putting the guage behind the clear plastic angled to face the driver.
I'd feel kinda bad about tearing apart a new greddy oil pressure guage tho. I think that would be very trick.
Try a big turbo car bogging off the line. ease if off the line due to lack of traction that you know will happen. Short shift to 2nd due to wheel hop in first, short shift to 3rd due to wheel hop in 2nd.. and you have a slow off the line big turbo car.
i think you can hear him peddaling in...
I've seen stuck valves do that. In fact, this particualr motor did this after it lost all its coolant on the dyno. Engine possibly got hot, cooked the oil between the valve and guide thus gumming it up.
This person took the head to the machien shop, told them what happened, and they reamed...
Either way will work.
I went the easy way on my first motor. The current motor... I was running a bar of boost about 2 miles away from the garage.
Cold compression numbers with 3 cranks are 141-145. If i let it crank until the needle doesn't go up anymore, add another 10 psi. If I do it...
HIN in Indy? THere is NO import scene in Indy.
Really.. it depends on what you wanna see. Riced out cars that run 18 second quarter miles and dyno 200hp to the wheels. Or cars that are just like yours, owners who have put many hours and dollars into them, and make triple the power than...
Nor do I. It's the only thing that makes sense.
I say put another one and let her fly. See if it happens again. Ensure your belt is done correctly as well.
Wouldn't be bad to ID common items that both of you (get that other cat in here too) have. Shaved head and block, blah.. blah. blah.
What kind of fuel pressures are you seeing????
My guess is that the car is loading up with fuel as you still problee have the restrictor in the j tube.
Just a guess from a guy who's been doing this for 12 years or so....
That was a tensioner. Pretty sure it was for the serpentine belt.
A new gear would be nice. But I bet very expensive. Plus it doesn't solve the root problem. Just masks it.
