500 on pump will need to be a fairly big turbo. you can use a much smaller turbo and race gas to see 500whp. 400whp on a daily is plenty for anything that you'll need. Until you get tired of it. :)
Wow.. Ultimate in lazy to not want to drive to a toyota dealer.
There is on 4.3 miles from UCLA (UCLA @ 405 Hilgard Ave) on the Santa Monica Blvd. you'll pay more than double the part price for shipping alone.
A. Dumb thread title. Please relate the theard topic to the question. :)
B. Not changing the filter on a trans is like not changing hte filter on the motor. It's ALWAYS a good idea to change filters on things. Get those metal chips out, and get new fresh fluid in.
I should take some pictures of my pistons that I had done by HPC AFTER 70k miles.
I had the skirts done with an oil holding coating, and the tops with their piston top coating. The coating was worn 90° opposite of hte pin bores, and IIRC the piston tops still looked good.
I put a new one recently, and when i pull the lever in the cabin, the door FULLY pops open. I don't touch the door at all except to close it. It's nice.
ALl it needs is paint and it's good to do.
They are not blocked off. It's a passage that makes a 90° turn after the port of entry.
If if wasn't a turbo that was to be water cooled, they would have NOT put the boss there, nor bored out this boss, nor tapped this boss to accept a fitting. Doing that costs money and time in a...
I would run water to them. Add some more SS lines and fittings and you'll be good to go.
It offers much better reliability by not allowing oil temps in the CHRA to get to the coking point.
What is your timeframe from stock to 400hp?
If it's more than a year, I'd throw in a stock clutch if your's needs replaced. Put the extra money into a savings account to earn interest. When you do NEED the clutch due ot making too much power, then go out and get one.
To me, there's no...
I had that entire part of the pillar done on my car with new trim installed for like $200 or so. Maybe it was $150. It wasn't that much. The guy even had to dig out all the silicone from a bad windsheild replacement from a few years ago.
I would contact elmhurst toyota for a replacement. Or try another toyota dealer in the area. Or one in toronto.. or one out of your region. I cant' beleive that part is on backorder.
I say vacuum. Load is bad for mpg. Low load and low rmp is best for economy.
Also, injectors don't open longer the higher the revs. The time (milliseconds) between closing and opening just shrinks.
What was the trade? boost controller for what?
The entire deal with shipping the BC without insurance and without signature is fishy. The way it was sent to someone's neighbor while Felix has parts sitting at his door.
I'd be talkin to Felix if I were you. bring it up.. question him...
I say run the stock pistons, run the stock rods and see what happens. I've been doing this for 12 some years, and I've NEVER heard of ANYONE who's broken a piston or rod due to making too much power. it's always due to detonation or lack of oil.
All this.. and people aren't giving out the address where stuff was shipped???? Get to the bottom of it with that.. plain and simple.
Kyle.. post up the address to where you shipped the EVC so 92turbo can go see whats up. I can't beleive that's not came out yet.
Here's my cactus that I've had for the past 24 years or something like that. I've NEVER watered it. Hell.. it could be dead.. but it's been this way ever since I can remember.
I dig the Stella Artios.
Picture from a few months ago of my stella.
This is what I had tonight. It crushes Stella.
All of these listed on here.. are superb beers. Beeradvocate.com lists a few of these as the best of the best.
