Used a bit of moly grease and the clutch alignment thing, as I recall. Took a while of filling it with grease, but once you get it filled it slides out nice n easy. I tried to find a slide hammer or bearing puller but could find anything close to the right size. :dunno:

You can remove the pan in car, but it requires a LARGE amount of work. If you have access to a cherry picker, I'd remove the engine/trans all together. There is a sticky on a "redneck rod knock fix" or something to that effect. Good luck, its not a small task by any means.
