I always wondered about that too.
But you have to realize how massive the moon is. It's not like the moon is a quick mornings jog in diameter.
Grim's link explains it in full. It's just waaaaayy to far to see something that small.
I think if she does not respond by tomorrow, we will ask mediation services to contact her and if that doesn't work immediately, we'll file for a court date.
Thanks Miguel!
Ya, I partially agree.
The problem is that no lease was ever signed, or even drawn up/printed.
If a normal holding deposit form or some form of legally binding document was ever written and/or signed, I feel this would be different.
But all that happened was she scribbled a...
well the "nice" email did not go over well at all.
She responded with a simple "please note the receipt signed by both parties for the $1500 nonrefundable holding deposit."
Looks like a legal threat is in order.
Cool. We were thinking that between the crossed out numbers, the missing date of signature, the missing printed name, the missing terms or definition of the holding deposit, we would stand a good chance in court.
We'll see. We just sent a nice email to her requesting we get most or all of...
I absolutely love my car and won't part with it anytime soon.
I hope to do a turbo swap soon, but I like it the way it is now. A clean, stock, well kept NA can be very fun to drive. :)
She had the receipt pre-written and then once we made it clear upon meeting with her that we would pay $3100 or we would walk, she crossed out the "2" in 3200 and wrote in a "1" making it $3100. The other cross outs were simple math errors on her part.
She raised rent prior to us signing...
The exact "receipt" is this:
receipt of
$1500 nonrefundable holding deposit
prorated first month's rent of $16700 +
last months rent of $32100 + rest of deposit
of $1600, totaling $63400 due on
July 10th. Move in date to be July 15.
Signed
ME Her (signature, but no printed name...
Ya, we'll be dealing only via email, snail mail or recorded phone calls from now on.
Yup, not giving her $1500 to take down and then post a craigslist ad without a fight.
Herein lies a part of our problem. On the half-assed, reciept, it states "non-refudable" holding deposit. We...
Hey guys ans gals, I have a situation. Thanks for any advice in advance! :)
A group of friends and I were interested in a house for rental. The owner (first time renter) and my group thought we had come to an agreement regarding lease terms. Unfortunately, the landlord did not have a final...
Seen it before, but that's worth a repost. Sooooo fucking cool.
I have no idea how those robotic joints work in the hips. Looks like its completely pivotal.
Very cool stuff.
Used a bit of moly grease and the clutch alignment thing, as I recall. Took a while of filling it with grease, but once you get it filled it slides out nice n easy.
I tried to find a slide hammer or bearing puller but could find anything close to the right size. :dunno:
Love that clip.
Can't wait to do it with my dad, sister and friends after a healthy turbo swap. ;)
I might skip my mom, cuz I'd be afraid of giving her a heart attack. If my Supra sent my mom to the hospital, I could never look at it the same, lol.
Get FULL coverage insurance, maybe get the car appraised if its cleanly modified.
Make sure you're covered under loss/theft/fire etc...
Find a home in a place in which you can feel safe.
You can remove the pan in car, but it requires a LARGE amount of work. If you have access to a cherry picker, I'd remove the engine/trans all together.
There is a sticky on a "redneck rod knock fix" or something to that effect.
Good luck, its not a small task by any means.
