    Limequat's 4.2l I6 Swap

Very cool. Glad to see another I6 try to be used instead of a V8. I had no idea GM still made an I6 in 2006. Good luck, I'll keep watching.

Cleveland news reporters hittin' the bong a little hard today...

What editor thought that was a good idea? Looks like a news cast I would have made in 6th grade.

mod getting out of hand ie Jdub

Almost 1500 posts and not a single infraction for me. Hmmmm...... Is it? ..... could it be? ...... Oh ya. It's cuz I follow the basic, worthwhile rules that keep this place from turning into 9/10 car forums.

    Co toyota meet 09

I'm sad I missed it. :( 11 hour workday instead. :nono: Often times, the smartest choice is the least fun.

how bad is my screwup? now with a pict

Damn, that sucks. That's one of my worst fears. That and getting caught under the car when no one else is home.

Billy Mays dead @ 50... celebrity spaceship taking off?

Damn. Celebs falling left and right. RIP Billy. Seemed much more down to earth than I ever would have thought on the Pitch Men show.

Your original post sounds like you are accusing the maker (doward) of deleting. Not sure what you're upset about?

I know so little about Australia. I could barely understand half of those. I really want to visit sometime. Party at Ian's or Kristel's? ;)

    Car salesmen

Just read the entire thing. Good read. I wasn't a salesman, but I worked at a dealership with a few salesmen and I was reminded of them vividly throughout that read.

    Car salesmen

As far as I know a full social security number is needed to run credit. I run credit checks multiple times daily via 3 different means and all require drivers license info AND full social number. So if you don't put your social on your license, I'd think they can't run a credit check.

    New MKIV guy

Excellent car. I normally think the mk3 is going to be my car of choice for decades to come, but every time I see a very clean, original mk4 like yours it makes me think I may have to pony up the cash for a mk4 in a few years. Once again, gorgeous car and keep it clean! :) Welcome

front suspension creaking + right turn lock metal on metal sound?

The sound from full turn might be from the steering stops. On most cars the rubber/plastic stops are completely gone. You can replace them or simply put a bad of grease on the metal knob. Worked for me. ;) Here is a pic of it. It's item number 43212C

    7MGE to 7MGTE

You may want to consult a member with more experience in your area, but I would try to do some sort of bottom end rebuild if you have the motor out already unless you know the motor runs very well and doesn't have that many miles on it. IMO, a large portion of the work required in doing a basic...

Cleanest MK3 I've ever seen in Colorado

Haha, I have seen yours. And while it may qualify for the cleanest 2JZ mk3 I've seen in person it pales in comparison to this time capsule car. ;)

Cleanest MK3 I've ever seen in Colorado

Just noticed it also has the super monitor. I may have to drive that this week... Might be the closest I'll ever see to a brand new mk3.

Cleanest MK3 I've ever seen in Colorado

22,000 original miles. Turbo, 5spd. Very, very rare for Colorado. I'm going to have to go see it. http://denver.craigslist.org/ctd/1229933905.html http://murray-motors.ebizautos.com/shared/photos-used-1987-Toyota-Supra-Base_Trim-4268904.html?src=CraigsList&pid=1
