I wondered this the first time I saw the ad for it. It seems like a marketing scheme, but Shell is rather respected in the industry and does not seem likely to promote a "snake oil" type of product. I'm very curious to find out what the deal is.

With an old high-mileage NA motor that leaks oil like crazy, why even bother with a super clean? Fix your leaks if you plan to keep the motor a while before using any advanced procedure to clean it. My .02
