    Idling at 1K

Which hose would that be? If you are referring to the big hose that goes to the ISC, then no, because it would crack ;)

    Idling at 1K

Ok, I finally tried disconnecting my ISC (I was afraid to before, because I didn't want any wires to break off of the connector, so I procrastinated) I unplugged it while it was idling, and the idle didn't change at all...does this mean that it's toast?

I have noticed that mine will make a VERY faint flutter when I release the gas while the turbo is spooled...some people on here have said that it's compressor surge...but idk. I tried blowing through it, and it's totally tight, doesn't let any air through... I am trying to get a BOV from...

    organizing for rebuild

I wouldn't use the Ross pistons, I have heard bad things about them, Aaron has them in his car, and when it is warming up, it almost sounds like he has rod knock, but it's really piston slap, because of the Ross pistons, I would use the JE's...

Cam journal & bearing damage... is this repairable? (pics)

I'm guessing the oil pump always gets replaced whenever you're down there just as good practice..considering if that fails, then all of your time, money, and effort that went into the engine were in vein...pretty self-explanitory I think....
