The custom flames i put on the car were so good they became real leading to my custom smoked look. I also customized the hood with aid of the jaws of life for better aerodynamics :sarcasm:

check to make sure everything is secure around your intake filter and back. Also check for any possible leaks. Its possible as you speed up in combination with torqueing the engine, if something is loose, wind could move pieces around allowing extra (possibly unmetered) air into your system...
Im not positive how stock is setup but on my setup one cable from the battery to the starter and another from starter to alternator should ensure you're making the proper connections that you could've fooled with.
as an owner of an uncirculated HKS SSQV i can assure you, it will stall out on stock conditions. However, if you throw is a tuning device (personally im using SAFCII) the stalling will cease on even a half decent tune.

There were LOTS of grounds done after the first rebuild, especially with the battery being relocated. The only realistic possibility that could've caused the fire was the SS line to the AFPR somehow contacting the Alt connectors.
