I got a great deal on my NEO ($200 shipped/brand new in box) from a member here. I can't see where it would need to be any easier to manage. The NEO is supposed to have twice as many tuning points, but I still am not driving the car much until I get my boost leak fixed, and get tuned. Here's a...
For the most part, hondas deserve the reputation that they have. BUT, there is an increasing number of tuners getting into Hondas. I would not be surprised to see a Honda beat a stock Viper. There are a few in my area that I doubt I will ever be able to run with. But ya, most are punk driven.
^ What he said! Find someone in lower alabama to babysit your car while you heal, because you know the car is what got you there in the first place. You don't need to bend over that thing for a good while.
mods....can we get this thread closed for the good of it's owner?
Good luck on the...
Let me suggest that you get another head, and do your work before removing the head you have. That way you don't have to worry about leaving things open to the elements. I think it's safe to say that after 4 head gaskets, and shaving the head each time if done properly, that your head is...
First, if those PTE's are from ebay, it would be a great idea to take them out and have them flowed before you up the boost. Mine are ebay PTE's, and I was somewhat (?) lucky in that they are all matching. But, they came back as flowing 615 rather than 550. Cleaninjectors.com will flow (only)...
I say give him some time to learn the MMA, and get a little bit of experience against lesser competitors before you throw him against the best, and he will be OK. Similar to taking a regular street thug, and putting him into a heavyweight boxing championship, fight by the rules structured fight...
Here's a point nobody has made. That picture of the fenderwell rust is very teltale of where the rust came from. It likely has much more than what was shown. The car has not been protected from the harsh winter.
VERY Nice! I agree, with a good tune and a full 3" exhaust low 12's should be very easy...if not 11's. I'm locked in, now that I'm subscribed. You have a good looking car!
I think the point JJ was making, was that even though you couldn't hear the pump before jumping it, you would not have had fuel pressure without it pumping that pressure. Why not take the advise given and try the other advise given? Test your spark and report back.
A full rebuild/possible replace and rebuild, with the idea of the SP61GT, along with body and paint is gonna easily get you close to 5K. I would assume the motor as a total loss, and anything you get better than that is a bonus. If the body is really bad, you can figure on a good bit to properly...
