Money well spent.
I would not run this car (as many do) without one.
I don't feel like listing all the reasons...but I will say, the belly cover is more important than a lot of Supra owners realize.
I haven't replaced mine yet, but I'm going to order a set of these today.
My car feels pretty tight and the stock bushing appear to be ok, but I have a suspicion that this is one of those things wherein:
you don't realize they were getting worn untill you replace them and feel the...
I remember your thread with the mechanic that sprayed that shit everywhere.
Poor bastard...he's paying for it now. Cleaning and grinding that stuff off can't be easy.
Maybe next time he'll pay a little closer attention when you tell him something.

I guess it would have to be more of a "rally" than a race to keep it legal.
Definitely in the summer as well.
I would love to see it happen (and be part of it as well).
No need to fill up the NOS tanks for that long of a race.:sarcasm:
edit: =brainfart
$700 for the set you see pictured on the 3rd post. Of course they are TRD, I wonder what the stock Toyota set sells for and how they compare (just regular old rubber I guess, but they're quiet).

Anyone used these?

I know there are some others available on this site by one of our vendors and am wondering how they compare.
I like the idea of a stronger 2 piece.
I have driven a few cars that have been converted from 2 piece shafts to a 1piece driveshaft (including but not limited to supras) and I have not seen one that doesn't create additional vibration.
Unfortunately, it always seems to occur at highway...
Congratulations drjonez.
I think you could have won this award on reputation alone, and clearly you did not rely on that.
What a beautiful car...excellent concept and execution as always.
btw...Love the timing belt cover.

As you get older, you will find yourself funding all kinds of stuff you could never have imagined (most of which is just the price of having "a life"). :crazy1:
The Supra (although expensive and time consuming by "non-car" peoples standards) is the least of it.
So, honestly...no regrets...
Thanks slow66, I'll be checking out your build (wish I would have run across it earlier).
I was thinking of trying to get ahold of HKS and seeing what I could find out.
I have to figure out who at HKS would know. Chances are they probably have moved on to other projects and don't have any...
Read my first thread where I say there's only one good picture that I've been able to find, (duh that's the one) before you start showing me how smart you are.
Next time you try flaming someone in a post, you should probably read the whole thread. In fact I had already posted that picture in...
Just trying to clarify:
I think the question was (and correct me if I'm wrong please):
(paraphrasing) Will anything but an auto ECU and ECT work with an automatic trans?
And will the 5speed harness work with either the auto ECU or ECT
As AF1JZ said: (paraphrasing) No in all cases...
C'mon....I know what you're saying, it aint exactly a purists Supra...but let's be honest, that mofo is badasssss! :aigo:
Looks like more of a Funny Car than anything. I still dig it.
What I'd like to here about is more along the lines of "pro stock" set-ups, which is what the HKS...
This is the only halfway decent shot I can find with some info but not a ton.
What's going on with this car? anyone have any info on where it is now? or on it's details or more pictures?
There has got to be more than the three mediocre shots I could find. .
That sure looks like it, but when I last saw it it had different paint, and said HKS RACING and had a big #1 on the side of it. It's either that car or looks god damn close.
It looks as though the body has been channeled and I'm guessing it probably sits on a tube frame. But I don't know I'm...
You know the one...
I can only find 1 picture of it. I searched a little but nothing really.
Anyone got a link to more pics of it?
Or info on it?
Anyone know who has it, or what happened to it?
