    Painting polished wheels.

Wet sand them with 400 grade emory cloth and then definitely use a "self etching" primer. This type of primer will bond really well and then leave you a surface the new paint will stick to. That's all there is to it.:icon_bigg

    Insurance Rates

That's waaaaay not cool. What if you cause an accident (it could happen) and someone is hurt, and needs hospitalization? Do you want to be the guy that f's someone up like that? If nothing else, you would be paying for that your whole life. I'd re-vistit my decision to not have...

    gauging interest, gm transmission adaptor

Most guys that want an adaptor like this for an automatic trans, are going to want to use a th400, which holds-up better than anything else when using a trans brake. I doubt many will care much about the weight, but just out of curiosity do you know how much for aluminum? :icon_bigg

    Auto A340E ?

+1 - I'm running a built a340le (jdm-soarer version, same thing), lotsa hp...no problems. Word to the wise - what I am refering to (as well as IJ, I'm sure) is a fresh, fully and correctly built, healthy, auto trans. I've got kevlar clutches, shimmed accumulators w/ heavier than stock...

    supra pic

I was gonna try to say something nice and give the guy who owns it credit for hard work, but there comes a point where you just can't lie...that thing is an abortion. .

For those with Pre-89 Tails, I have a question for you...

Some guy's cut the post out of their '63 split window corvette's to make them look like '64's. I'm sure they thought it was an upgrade. Supra of any year hideous? :3d_frown:

Keep the Bomex front bumper or trade for 89+ w/ lip???

Pre-89 nose (there, I said it). 89+ looks good, but IMHO it just isn't as clean and doesn't flow with the lines of the body like the pre-89 nose. I am always shocked when I hear people swapping for the post 89 nose. I would expect the opposite swap. I guess beauty really is in the eye...

Worth seeing: Brand new 1990 Turbo Targa

I think it's a given that the miles are correct. I say this because: 1. I, like many of us can spot the tell-tale signs of a car that has been on the road. 2. Conversely, many of us who have spent time at, or worked at new car dealerships know how hard it would be to convincingly...

For those with Pre-89 Tails, I have a question for you...

Are post 89 tails more popular with most people? Yes. Do post 89 tails look better? No. Why are post-89 tails more popular if they don't look as good as pre-89's? Most people (incorrectly) think newer and/or bigger is better. Also, lots of other people don't trust their own...

    Aftermarket automatic shift knob?

It's the B&M megashifter, but the model I saw was not a cable operated model. Here is a picture of what the mega shifter looks like but I think this one which is in a camaro is the cable version (won't work), and not the one with the arm that connects mechanically to the shifter arm on our...

    Aftermarket automatic shift knob?

What I was saying was Summit does not sell, and B&M does not make a shifter specifically made for the MkIII. However, they do make a shifter for 80's or 90's camaros that is not a cable action and in fact does resemble our shifters as far as the linkage goes. It doesn't look to me upon a...

    Aftermarket automatic shift knob?

I don't think so. I have always hated that "moms station wagon" looking stock shift handle. I have had no luck finding a direct fit shifter or knob after quite a bit of looking. I ended up taking a universal billet shift knob and machining it out to fit over the shifter stem. I then had...
