What is the hook thing for?

I am going to have to jump on this bandwagon. I am so tired of feeding my seatbelt (as well as passangers) back in to the retractors. It's gotten so bad that when someone rides in my car, they know to feed the seatbelt back into the retractor or face my look of disgust while I do it...

    Touch up paint

Toyota dealer has it, or at least I got some a year or so ago from my dealer based on the factory color code. Might want to try that before going the duplicolor route.

Your front seats, what do they do.....

^^^^Thanks. I figured toyota wouldn't make that little adjuster available. They probably figured they wouldn't be able to get $300 for it.:sarcasm:

Your front seats, what do they do.....

Mine just broke (same plastic winder, same location) and I was wondering how you fixed yours? I thought about glueing it, but I didn't see how that could hold together. I haven't checked, but I'm sure Toyota in their infinite wisdom doesn't sell the winder seperately (Jeff Lang: Please...

OEM MK3 ride height... is mine correct?

I have never heard this... just spring height right? Man...I forgot how freakishly high the front looks on stock springs :aigo: .......yeeeeesh (shivering uncontrollably)! Yuck. .

    Twin turbo manifolds??

I guess you're right about that. To debate theory, it makes sense that reffering to different set-ups would make for an uneven playing field. Never really thought about it that way. But you got to admit, it's hard not to think in terms of practical application, at least for me, as I tend to...

    Twin turbo manifolds??

I never quoted you as saying twin turbos are retarded. I only quoted it as being said in this thread. Also, I did not say you contridicted yourself, I said that you only addressed the physics of efficiency as it relates to twin turbocharges in parallel. Sequential is clearly the arrangement...

    Twin turbo manifolds??

I see that some of the basic physics have already been covered, so I’ll resist the urge to demonstrate how smart I am at the price of redundancy. But I will say this: My post refers to my observations based on practical experience, and is the product of owning and/or driving a...

    XTD Clutch scam!

I believe you...but that's unbelievable! On the bright side...I guess slippage under acceleration wouldn't be a concern anymore. Can't help but wonder if the major factor here is: a. strong pressure plate b. weak crank c. all of the above

    Twin turbo manifolds??

Twin turbo's (set-up properly) can make for a very tractable, very fun car to drive, due to minimal lag. IMHO it's a lot more suited to daily driving than a big single turbo. Big turbo equals big lag. If you're exclusively drag racing and just droping the hammer at 5k, or have an auto...

    Window clips

I totally believe this guy had this experience at a dealer. Some dealers are great, most are ok, and some dealers suck (like my local dealer). I went through many dealer parts dept's untill I found a good one, and it's worth the 38 mile longer drive.

Killed 69 chevelle on pinks! (7m)

To be fair, there is also suspension, correct gearing, right rubber, making sure your spotter lines you up right (in the fat rubber), driver cuts tree, shifts on time, etc, oh yeah, and the most desirable factor...luck! It's so true. I can tell you first-hand from my experiences at local...
