No gearing advantage AFAIK. Its a pretty weak tranny. Doing 4000rpm burnout drops won't help it lol. But yes it will bolt right up to a 7mgte. You will need a new clutch and pressure plate.

Get ahold of a local bearing supplier. Read them the numbers on the bearing race and the bearing. Much cheaper than buying from the auto store.

IF the shop is quality, they can mask of where you dont' want the spray to go. Then you can pollish you're little heart out.

YOU CAN POWDERCOAT PLASTIC, Ive seen it done. It can become static just like any thing else. Only problem is that most plastics don't hold up to the heat that is required to cure the powder into powder coating.

Dont go by "stages", go by material of the pucks, sprung or unsprung, and the number of pucks. Personally, I have a 6 puck sprung, made out of bronze/sintered iron material. Hooks up instantly, and will hold the power when you need it. FWIW, stay away from 3 and 4 puck clutches.
