Weez:
I used a brake line conduit bender to get mine the way I wanted it. I also took the mounting tab thats welded on the end of it and bent it flat - then used one of the compressor housing bolts to secure it to the turbo.
Hunt - Your turbo PCV system has to have vacuum pull from the turbo intake. Theres no other way around it.
Oil from the compressor seal or PVC system is blue, grey, or white.
Oil comming from the turbine seal is PURE WHITE.
Most turbo smoking comes from:
-Too small or dirty air...
The drain must be no more than 10 deg off center. The turbo oil drains off of gravity, with the PCV vacuum helping it along.
Any thing more than 10 deg, and the seals will leak causing smoking and turbo failure on down the road.
No thanks young sir. I enjoyed both positions. If this is an idle threat, let me know.
Id like to know your definition of this "we" you talk about.
This is good to know. :biglaugh:
To begin:
I feel Ive always been here for the good of the community and its members (this includes sharing some things private to the public & aimed at keeping the public informed), so I decided to share my thoughts and feelings with you all.
Ive been informed that Im fired from my duties...
Unless the water cavity has rusted through into the bearing housing - no it can't leak.
A ct26 also doesn't have a C clip inside to hold the bearings, thus there can't be a loose c clip inside.
Turbo seals only seal when under 3 forms of pressure:
-Oil pressure
-vacuum
-Exhaust or boost pressure
If its leaking while it has oil in it when its out of the car - its normal (unless its a carbon seal ct26 but I highly doubt it unless you got it off of a diesel carbed engine).
Well its official - I got a new 9mm hot rod today.

This weekend should be interesting since I have a brick of new ammo here....
Any recommendations (sp?) on gun oils and ammo brands?
