boost creep, i had this when i fitted a "free flowing cat" happened in 3rd+ gear in high rpm mainly (stock ct26), the waste gate cant control boost only way to fix it is port the waste gate or fit an external one.
Or your waste gate is not opening correctly/at all?
i had it happen on my...

something like this should fit but if you wait a week or 2 ill know for sure...

i cant seem to find a fitting to suit the block like yours (stock return location), could you point me in the right direction?

bingo, i'm sure we will find out soon enough after someone runs one for a while. if the balance was bad i doubt it would last 90 days & that they'd offer a 90 day warranty. I've heard that the larger "china" turbo's are alright because they don't have to spin anywhere near as fast as the smaller...
a) shaft is larger, housings are bigger and inducer is larger.
b) 60trim wheel in a ct26 is massive
i compared the casting of the housings to the CT26 looks very similar quallity, however i cannot comment on the materials used. ill see what the balance is like.
I've been intouch with CX racing, and they have confirmed that they manufacture the turbo, where its manufactured im still trying to find out and if they make all the parts as well.. ill keep everyone posted.
from what i can tell this turbo is efficienct between 16-24psi on our cars, running...
are you talking about the dump pipe studs?
did you see the included bolts?
is this being dyno tuned? what pressure does your customer intend to run?
what's your opinion of the quality so far?
i've been doing research and CX Racing produce this turbo
http://www.cxracing.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CXR&Product_Code=TRB-T61&Category_Code=TOCH
Says that they "design" and produce bolt on turbo's which leads me to think that they produce the rear housing them self. Or...
Hi,
My dash cluster has stopped working, all i did was disconnect the battery and reconnect it, tracing the wire from the fuse box i tested the voltage all the way to the back of the cluster and it has power, clock illuminates and so does the warning lights (check engine, hand brake etc)...
I can check if the accordion hose will work, i think it will tear the 21 year old piece of rubber to be honest.
my DDP was custom made, so i don't have to, need to check that it will seal against this new turbo first and modify it if needed..
is it just me or do the impeller blades look a...
i've got a 3" Dump(to the cat) with a divorced waste gate pipe which joins in 1m after the turbo
is there anything anyone would like me to take a photo of?
i hope to take it to the turbo builder within the next 2 weeks
BTW the inducer is 3" so im betting the stock accordion hose wont...
does too!, my ct26 was creeping but bigger the turbo less manifold pressure
the waste gate port is about 2mm larger than the ct26 port
the housings look not too bad :) see what the turbo builder says.
it bolts up perfectly, clears everything, and WILL fit stock i/c piping it came with oil...
got my turbo, doesn't look too bad.. took some test mounted photo's.. im running a ct26-57trim for now
here is a comparison between a CT26 (stock), 57 trim ct26 and the T61
we even have the equipment in the bush town i lived in down here in Australia, go ask a few workshops I'm sure you'll find someone that can perform the test for you, or buy the tester.
