I've done a new video of a run through the black spur (narrow windy road with a stupid speed limit but a awesome drive) without going over the limit :P it was a 40deg C day but given I've got a front mount and running low boost ambient temperature doesn't seem to make a big difference after all...

just ordered a 3 channel ignitor :) (i've already made up the engine loom) should have it off the road in a week to fit the ecu, im also fitting 700cc~ injectors and a bosch 040 fuel pump. need to tap the inlet manifold for ecu boost reference and air temp sensor Its defiantly on...

As Requested, Went for a quick drive last night, had to dial the boost down to around 5psi-6psi because it was cold and any more would hit boost cut. Note the gauges on the digital dash, far left is oil pressure and to the right of that is the boost gauge, i think full gauge is round 6psi...

Yeah, no idea why but i have 4.3 diff gears, also a W58 (first and second ratio are longer than the r154 anyway) you can't hear it spool, at the boost im running i doubt the turbo is even spinning fast in comparison to a ct26 at the same pressure. 5th gear under good load on the freeway spools...

Can't really hear it well from the video but have you checked to see if your shims that the cams contact are within spec? mine made a similar noise round 3000rpm... is the noise constant or intermittent? my experience with rod knock (although not on a 7m) are that it is constant and on idle.

my 57trim looks near new and has a blown oil seal on the exhaust. does your car have any compression surge/turbo have any shaft play? Pull off the breather and check it for oil residue. should take 30 seconds. as for the seal the core is the same as the standard ct26, just larger wheels fitted...

i imagine that the comp housing will be bored out to fit the larger wheel, here is a picture of my ct26 and ct26 57trim side by side.. it may help you identify what ever it is...

if only the turbo fitted under the bonnet :) twin charged cars are tuff, but like my friends twin charged car very difficult to actually use/put the power down on the street. heaps of engine movement, i wonder what the smoke is, might be the dump pipe moving/not sealing with vibrations.
