Wrong. Extensive idling dilutes the oil. But don't start the car and drive. Give it that 10 seconds to lubricate. Driving normal is normal, not the way kids drive.

edit: Malloynx, at what point are you going to change over to a bigger 2JZ intercooler and front facing manifold? It is unfortunate that Toyota never had 600...
You could always just buy one from Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, etc etc, they already went through all the trouble for you. You can even buy them used at discounted prices.
The only thing I don't get is those that switch to the 1JZ, and have no intention of increasing the power. If you spend all that time pulling the engine, and the money, why not pull the 7M, and actually deck the head and block like you are supposed too? If they are not flat and pit free that is.

That sounds like it is in good condition. Bad luck can happen though. And if the car is not repaired right, because you never know what that person actually did, then you will lose the head gasket again. I don't mean you personally, anybody.
