Yes, Chriso is right. If you want the grills and signals to bolt on properly you'll need the big metal bumper support AND the upper header nose panel. I'm swapping my bumper and will be selling everything required. Need it?
Did you short out the main wire to the alternator? If so, trace the wire and check all fuses and fusible links. Lastly, test the battery in case it was damaged by the short. Good luck! Should be fixable.
The plug removal/rewire is worth it. It solved my hot start problem 100%. The mismatched colors suck. I messed it up! Either label them with masking tape or do one at a time.
My car came with an aluminum driveshaft. The previous owner said it was one of the best "kick in the pants" mods he did. Enjoy the faster acceleration!
Mine was broken/missing and I replaced it. It makes the seatbelt slightly less tight on your chest when the door is closed, and when the door opens, it pulls tighter to reel in the belt. I think it's a comfort thing.
Just for interest's sake, I'm going with a Bomex bumper with the center and side holes filled like this. (Available from the bomex group buy) I think it really makes the car look more modern and less 80's.
PS: Why not just get a Shine turbo A duct? I think it looks better than a gaping hole.

I've got a 2-tone interior set from Leatherseats.com, but I will install it during the winter when my bodywork is getting done and I can gut the interior, paint it, and install the leather. These photos I found on the net but my car will be pretty much identical except I chose a darker grey...
I'm going to paint my intererior (with SEM products) but I wasn't sure if I should use a glossy, or flat plastic/vinyl paint, and then use armour-all after. I like the glossy look of an armour-alled interior but I want it to look proper. Do the glossy paints looks like this, or do they look a...
So you used a glossy vinyl paint? I'm going to paint my intererior but I wasn't sure if I should paint it glossy, or paint it matte and then use armour-all after.
Hot start problem. My new(used) Mk3 did the same thing. 4 out of 5 times it would crank but not start when hot. The previous owner could not find the problem. After reading a few posts I thought it might have been the CPS (cam position sensor) or plug. Sure enough, after jiggling that brittle...
