My sister bought a NA supra that was a huge money pit, BHG, etc. After watching the market for 2 months, I bought a well-built 87 for $8000 that had $20K worth of mods put into it (MHG, all the usuall stuff). Other than some starting and wiring problems I had to fix, it is very reliable and 400+ HP!

What about using isopropol alcohol as an intercooler spray? It cools like a demon and evaporates instantly.

Buy VHT nite shades off ebay and paint them yourself. They will stay shiney longer if you clearcoat after.

I bought a used g-tech and the 1/4 mile times seem accurate but the RWHP seems way off on my unit. I'll probably sell it and just stick with the dyno and race track. Although it would be handy to see if small mods at home are making a real difference or not...

Mine is stiff and needs a real hard pull to open. Just another one of the little problems that seem to happen to the Mk3 and not the Mk2!! (gas door, BHG, starter problems, etc.)

Thought you guys might like to know that I have fixed (re-charged) my A/C successfully with R12a freon substitute called "Maxi-Frig" off eBay. Supposedly it is compatible with the R12 oil so you just put it in and go. I opted to first put in a bottle of stop-leak so hopefully it will last more...

The premise sounds logical. Let us know how it feels. My shortened shifter and momo knob is very notchy! And heat would be an issue. If you can get a thick plastic sleeve beteween the two metal surfaces it might do the trick. I had this on my momo but it caused the screws to work themselves...
