    It's both really, a critical velocity failure just happens at much higher speeds and wouldn't be quite dangerous... Also, aluminum will work harden, the steel won't...

    Yeah, I just extended the line on mine as well, the stock BOV vacuum source is pretty strong.

    Vac line goes up to a piece of hard line that bolts where the ground for the coilpacks goes that leads over to the BOV (very indirect path it runs)

    Dunno, just know if it clogs it will pop the heat core lines on the miatas and cause heat spikes.

    No, that's going to be open directly to the pan. Need to see from the bottom of the block, I can't remember exactly what it goes to but IIRC it's the end bushing for the oil pump.

    If the bypass is clogged, the pressure can rise on the heater hoses (common problem on the early miatas)
