BOV will have zero effect on idle unless it's stuck open which is highly unlikley as the normal issues is not getting them to open fast enough or leaking under boost.

I'll also say felpro sucks ass, I've had to replace quite a few gaskets with dealer items because they suck. The biggest issue was the stupid EGR cooler gasket being paper instead of metalic like stock (BITCH to replace with engine in car)
Not all rust can be fixed, and not everyone can afford to repair it properly.
