I wouldn't bother, its useless in my experience. It only holds like the bottom 1.5 inches of the cup, its awkward as hell to reach it while sitting in the seat.... you shouldn't be drinking in the car anyways! :)
my undercover is gone, too much of a pita to take it off everytime needed access. that said, why does it help with cooling? just because is keeps the underhood turbulence down?? surely the fact that fresh air gets under there has to help cooling somewhat???
pull very hard, then curse, then pull hard again, and it will "pop" off its slide... so hopefully you have not removed the overflow cap like I did and wind up with coolant all over your face.
mobile 1 synthetic for ever, just switched to red line 10w-30, just to see if I could tell any kind of difference, coupled with the fact the car will probably see 1-2k miles a year from now on, so cost wasn't such a factor.
although i think it must be thinner or something, cause now i get...
swapping the injectors sounds like a great idea, I think I will try that. But gonna need to grab some copper autolites for this test.... no more iridiums until this is figured out.
Thanks guys
86temp, what do you mean by bov? I run 1.1 bar and use the BOV off the MKIV, probably have some...
most body shops pull dent/ding best they can, bondo it, sand it smooth.... if its small they just bondo it and sand it. There is also some prep before putting the bondo on, but this is just generally

I just replaced the MT90 it in my 91T, and it actually makes a little more noise than it did before, and the gears actaully feel a little more notchy. I actually think its because I had some old MT90 in there, and it had somehow 'gotten used to it...' hows that...
I use the BOV from the MKIV, plumbed right into factory location, and it seems to work well for 1.1 bar. Although, I think I've got some compressor surge, and I think it leaks boost at peak 1.1 bar, and am thinking of ditching it for another, so I'm watching this thread with great interest.
I'm looking to get some lumar metalized tint for the supra. Its doesn't have any on it right now so excluding that cost (to remove old tint), what did you guys pay for tint, especially lumar tint. I got my last supra done back in Austin for I think like $160-$170 for the top of the line lumar...
This is with a new plug (NGK iridium, less than 50 miles on it), and it was the same as the old plug I pulled out (NGK plat, 20k miles on it). New plugs, new plug wires, everything tight. injector is RC 550, its getting up there in years, but not that old, like 5-6 years old.
This indicates...
hey everyone,
as the title indicates I have some dry carbon fouling of the number one spark plug, and the rest look as they should. Any ideas on this one?
No I have not checked valve clearances, could this be the problem. If so could someone explain why?
Thanks!
Bondie,
Those look awesome, I would love to do that on my car. I have seen your pic before and always thought these were the rally lights people keep talking about installing to get this look.
Thanks for the info.
If by "correctly" you mean 10o BTDC, then how are people retarding/advancing their timing with highly modded, high boost engines and keeping EGT's in check??
What does someone running 15psi "shoot for" in EGT's, and how do they accomplish that?
Thanks
Thanks for the rec, but thats a bit of a drive, as the car is a now a garage queen, only coming out for a few miles here and there on perfect days. Anyone else have a Houston recommendation?? Surely there has to be a good one here, I see a decent amount of mkiii's here.
Ok so what are some steps to bring down EGT's? I already have the HKS intercooler, HKS DP, Full stainless 3" cat-back with random tech hi-flow cat. Is the next step adjusting the FP up? (it has lots of room to go)
Does a better radiator make much of a difference? What about a oil filter...
