I thought 7m cranks were cast. Are you sure they're forged steel? Well hey, if Mibrum is running a stocker in his beast then it'll handle what I can afford to throw at it.
I was just thinking about EGT guages the other day. Some years back people used to run these as a measure of tuning. People used to say to tap into your #1 exhuast runner. They used to say that it was that cylinder that would overheat first is things were to get too lean. I guess their...
Just install it, create a thread on Supra build up/gallery, and keep us posted. Include all experiences... good and bad. Include details of installation, power output, and a log to keep us posted on its performance. Report any malfunction if any. Thanks for going out on a limb and trying...
I never said it was good advice. But he would only run into problems when he starts to flow more air than the stock fuel system can handle. That why I say only run up to safe A/F ratios. I wonder if a T70 would enough CFM's at that low of boost to justify getting one. He'd be better of with...
I have 10 psi in one of my cylinders. Took it to a mechanic and they told me one of my exhaust valves burnt out. They claimed they did a compression, and leakdown test. I bought a head that had P&P work done to it, and they installed that on for me. I drove it off after they replace the...
Ah hell, what the heck!? Do it and give us updates until your motor goes up in smoke (if it does). Start at stock boost. Then start cranking it up until you max out your fuel system. Guys, would by-passing the j-tube & doing the 12volt mod help his fuel delivery? Just make sure you dyno...
Me neither. Thanks for the info Jdub, we'll see how it plays out and see what the problem was.
lol, My first thought after reading Jdub's comments was, "Look at the big brain on Brad!" - Samuel L. Jackson Pulp Fiction. But all of what you said does make alot of sense.
I hear ya, but it does show what can be done on the stockers. I always thought that if you're turning up the wick, and still aren't getting more power it was because you were out of your turbo's efficiency range. I can see where people might think it was the intercooler, but I'd hate to think...
Pretty interesting. I knew they were Spearco cores from what they told me when I bought it. I didn't know about the pressure drop from the two different piping sizes. I need to check to see which one I have. But could that be a reason why his power is dropping off on the big end? Or could...
Why are people surprised that he hit that RWHP with a stock manifolds and 2" piping?? All that tells me is I don't need to go and buy a front facing manifold w/Q45 TB, huge IC, and an aftermarket tubular exhaust manifold to hit 500+rwhp. It just might be possible to hit 600rwhp with the stock...
When and from whom did you buy that Cartech intercooler from. When I bought mine from B.E.G.I. (cartech at the time), Corky himself told me that intercooler would be efficient up to 800hp. Why he'd lie to me, I wouldn't know. Maybe you're running out of your turbo's efficiency range? Why not...
Felpro HG, 75lb/ft., Upgraded CT26 w/"50" trim wheel, 18psi and it lasted a little over 2 years. Ringlands on my piston broke, but the HG still held up.

Didn't SP make a clutch set that could hold 600rwhp, and it was just like the stock config.? It was said to have a nice smooth engagement like the stocker too, with the capability to hold the power. Anyobody run it, or do they still sell it?
Shhhhh! Not so loud, buddy. Why not send your intake and exhaust manifolds to http://www.extrudehone.com/# ? There's is an extrude hone representative in Huntington Beach, CA. Call them up and get a quote. Let us know how it goes.
