Need opinion on Rear Diff. oil

That's because Jay is a smart hillbilly ;) Ford 75W-90 (you have to add Ford friction modifier) or the Red Line 75W-90 (already contains the modifier) Jay is using above.

    no thermostat?

Listen to these guys, they speak the truth. To add: 180 deg is not hot for the 7M...the temp range cuel spoke of is 176 to 210 deg F. That is "normal" for this engine and the ECU adjusts fuel (warm-up enrichment) below that temp and pulls timing above it. A stat is necessary to get the...

    Engine build/machine work Q's?

You're piston to wall clearance will be half that + the value for the stock pistons. I would go ahead and bore .020" over with forged pistons for your power goal.

    test my car

LOL...not really, unless you want to run some ungodly thick oil on a stock system. ;) I use Wix filters personally...there is a lot of info in the oil section. Or a 0W-30 like German Castrol ;) As previously mentioned, Red Line oil is top notch.

Tranny Cooler and valve body question

Heehee...good catch. The two makes of coolers are almost identical.

    getting hot?

^^^ Correct. The clutch designs are very similar, but he turbo clutch is more robust...it is visibly thicker. I would assume this is to handle the 3 extra blades to move more air. RazoE - you can improve the NA's cooling ability with a turbo fan/clutch. You're also going to have higher...

    getting hot?

And a NA fan clutch I'd bet ;) You need the turbo versions of both.

    Oil Pressure Help

Here's the TSRM spec's and possible cause of oil pressure loss: http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?Section=LU&P=4 Your pressure at highway speed is too low...the Mobil 1 is not going to cause that and a heavier weight oil is not going to fix it. I would check the...

    getting hot?

^^^ That would be my guess too. What brand/temp thermostat are you using?

    another misfire thread...

The T from the TB needs to be in the hose from the accordion to the catch can. If you think about it, the catch can needs vac...the TB produces the best source 90% of the time when the motor is not in boost. Under boost, the accordian produces a weak vac. The TB produces vac...the BVSV...

    Bhg ???

It will help fill any imperfections in the block/deck surfaces with a composite HG. You don't ever want to use a spray sealer on a new MHG...the spray attacks the viton coating on all new MHG's come with.

    Bhg ???

On a stock HG, I'd use copper spray...on a new MHG, no way ;)

Take a look at this diagram: http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/TechTips/graphics/vacuum_2h.gif Make sure your AFPR vac line is to the correct fitting and check the line orientation of the VSV (#17650) is correct. If you are not getting boost pressure to the AFPR, fuel pressure will not rise on...

That's what you would expect to see with the Lex AND 550's installed :dunno: Did you use the same electronics on both housings? Any codes?

    Bhg ???

So, you decided to pull the head huh ;) Looks like a good call to me...gonna use ARP hardware this time? You want to re-torque after 5 heat-up/cool-down cycles...that includes ARP's.

    homemade fpd kit

First of all, this is not a "design" of anything...its a couple of AN hose ends, a length of hose, a metric adapter to the fuel rail, and a barb adapter to the fuel feed line under the car. DM does not have a patent on it...Aaron assembles the parts as a service to those that don't want do deal...

Automatic Sidelights and Rain Sensing Wiper Mods

That's the solar sensor that connects to the A/C amplifier. It's in the TSRM: http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?Section=AC&P=8
