    GT35R

You can get .58 T4 housings from certain manufacturers. I think atpturbo.com has them IIRC. That's what I'm going for on my car :)

    Distributor Cap Question

Years back, my father put a latex glove over his distributor to solve this problem. Cut little holes in the ends of the fingers for the wires too. Granted, that was a 4cyl engine.

    How do 4" sound?

I would suggest that you make your own mount for 6.5" instead of buying the pods. If you're going for any sort of decent aftermarket speaker with any sort of depth, you're going to be hacking up the pods anyways. A piece of 1/2" MDF scrwewed onto the door in the original holes with a hole in the...

2jz-gte exhaust manifold bolts too long...

I had a problem with the bolts on my exhaust housings hitting my y-pipe. I just took a hacksaw, and made them shorter. That's teh cheap and easy way to do it.

    Beer Fest

I watched beerfest on friday, then drank something along the lines of 9 beer, and watched it again. Best movie I've seen in a long time. I felt bad that the Canadian team didn't do better :( "We could freeze it into ice blocks, and skate on it. Then in the spring when it melts, we could...

    struggling with boost controller

Unfortunately, a boost controller can't control a boost creep like that. The reason your car is creeping is because your wastegate is too small. No matter what you do to the signal, the wastegate cannot open further. If you want a cheap fix, you may be able to port the wastegate opening a...

My 1JZ Thread - trials and Tribulations

Bob, I checked my intake manifold for you. There is infact NO bolt in that hole. Looks like it's just a random threaded hole.

    91 turbo stock 16's

I run 285s in the back, and 255s in front without rolled fenders. It JUUUUST fits. 245 is fine on sawblades, 275 will work with a wider rim, provided the offset is right (mine are as close to the suspension as you can get).

    7MGTE in a mkII

I've personally seen probably 5 or 6 7m swaps into MKIIs (including Reg's). It's pretty common. From what I remember, it's a pretty easy swap, minimal fabrication required.

    Need new sound system

Good choice on the AA. For an amp, if you're looking for budget amps, I would suggest you look for a PG Xenon, or possibly a Hifonics amp. As for the speakers, I would really suggest that you try to fit 5.25" speakers in there, ditch the rear pair, and use the money to buy a cheap amp to...

    Widebands?

I used to run an LC-1 (Bosch sensor). It was a good little sensor. With the programmable outputs you could plug it into your stock ECU, and have it mimic a narrowband (you can re-program the output to have your car idle at a different A/F ratio on the stock computer if you like). It warmed up...

Question about the 2JZ MAP Sensor....

Just because you had to say something. :) "1200 is optimistic for a complete standalone setup" ECU, ECU accessories, Wiring harness, wideband controller, wideband sensor, installation, tuning. You can easily spend $5000 before you realize it.

Question about the 2JZ MAP Sensor....

Sorry to hijack, but what are the exact specifications of the two MAP sensors? The 1JZ can't be a 1 bar map, atmospheric pressure is at 1 bar. I've heard rumors stating that the 1JZ map will read up to about 18psig, which would be 2.25bar absolute. There are tuners locally that swear the sensor...
