In an effort to reduce large gauge cables passing through the car, i suppose.
If you were to run say, a 4 gauge power cable to the back, then that is essentially an extension of the battery, now located in the trunk area. Connecting there by way of a fused distribution block seems like a solid...
Well, rather than guilt you into a full rebuild that you honestly might not need, i would suggest you get a compression test
first. Thats one way to get a baseline on the condition of your motor. I will tell you that i had at one time used a FelPro head gasket with ARP head studs, and it held...
So...
You don't trust your block, and instead of rebuilding it with even "the bare minimum", you've decided to bolt a larger turbo onto it... Welp, ok.
As for the w58, you're fine. It's a good tranny up to and past 300hp, in my experience.
I don't know if he worded it clearly, but we're talking separate fuses, fused distribution block, and cap on the amp, not the pump.
The issue is to make sure that the variable load from the amp doesn't affect the pump, not the other way around.
The only fuse that would be shared is the one next...
Mine did that as well, but I don't know if it's the FPR's fault.
I also thought that the fuel pump was supposed to have a check valve that held pressure?
Hopefully someone will chime in that knows for sure.
It was good to see you too, man.
Lemme know if that MR2 vac booster works out. Better yet, post a pic in your build.
I can't wait either, but unfortunately, I have to.
Didn't do much to the car today, just installed the -6 fuel feed hard line adapter from Driftmotion. It doesn't sit down as...
I just re-read this thread, and i didn't see it mentioned:
If you're using this car for the track, are you still running the ac system?
Road racing is a higher than normal heat load of course, and maybe it would help you to remove the ac condenser from the airflow path.
