i have the same issue with stock turbo. i hit fuel cut but no CEL. Its my AFM i believe, the temperature sensor that is. Once it warms up i don't hit fuel cut as much. but around 100 mph i start hitting fuel cut more & more.
Truth is, the BOV is screwed. That BOV location is horrible , it's right above the turbo (oddly the stock BPV is located there). The heat melts the check valve in the blow off valve. I've gone through 3 Blow off valves already. Relocate the Blow Off Valve but let Aaron know about your melted BOV.
God dammit. You could have saved the Crankshaft if you would have stopped revving it. 7MGE & 7MGTE Crankshafts are the same & so are the rods... Now it will need to be machined before you can even think of using it.
yup. i've gone through 3 BOVs. all knock offs... Ive heat wrapped my DP, the intake charge pipe itself. put the oem heat shields back on. Nothing helped. Im getting compressor surge this moment. Thank goodness i got my MK2 back up. Thatll let me save money to go a different route.
Yes FACTORY.. & We should probably talk to him about AFTER he goes GTE & has more driving skills. Which will probably be a while considering its a project. It takes a lot of time to make money & get all the needed parts
