IIRC, you can, it's just that part of the 6.5" cone will be below the peaker opeing, and blocked by the door panel. And also as Kevin said, you have to cut some of the metal away. PS- What do you mean the audio section is closed? It's just that nobody's posted any new threads there...

Be very careful prying it. You have a 90% chance of snapping that black plunger. I would reach from inside and just pull on the mechanism.

Sorry to hear about your luck. I was going to tell you that the only time my car ever shut off on me, was when a wire rubbed against the egr pipe, and kept blowing the efi fuse, and was going to suggest you check that area. But then I saw your last post and laughed. Not AT you, just the irony...
