Also, what material did you use for your black mounting plate? Is it also made of phenolic resin?

Just so you know... If that stainless fuel line to your rail ever touches that bare contact on you alternator underneath it... You lose the car. I almost did. Switched to nylon covered braid and used a rubber terminal cover off a Toyota pickup.

Morganson- can you post all the dimensions that you used for the CAD design? We could use that as a template if a premade mounting plate ends up being a no-go.

Just wanted to add a pic: The Lexus LS400 fan is BARELY smaller than the shroud opening, but IMO- too tight to safely run. If someone were so inclined, they could certainly shave a 1/4" from the blades to make it a perfect size. The problem with that of course, is getting it perfectly balanced...

For studs that are taking that kind of stress, I wouldn't use a regular helicoil. Maybe timesert's.
