I'll have to look at the pods more closely, GrimJack. I just shelved them till its time to really dive into the interior.
The shimming wont help idle pressure, only high rpm pressure.
So, i don't see the point of overdoing that. As long as i get at least 35-40 warm psi at ~3500rpm(highway), i'd be very pleased.
I was more concerned with low rpm pressure.

I have 3mm shimmed bypass, thermostatic setup, new pump, az hardpipe and new squirter bolts, so im hoping for good warm idle pressure. Next week i should have all the gauges in.
Generally, a shop would never replace the banjo bolts unless the owner asked him to.
They are roughly $11 a piece, and can be had from any dealership, or Driftmotion.com
There's really nothing very technical about the wire slots.
I took an angle grinder to the edge, and made cuts, approximately 1/4" deep by 1/4" across, and beveled both sides to protect the wires.
The cuts were made roughly in line with each coil mounting bolt, #'s 1-5, with the wire at each...
