    Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1, 2, 3, 4....Stage 5- Reassembly after 13 years!!!

Then I finally filled the PS system with Dexron VI, at the suggestion of Orion Zygarian. No leaks so far, yay. I also finalized my IC install, and created the lower brackets. It's rock solid now. I even threw the front bumper cover on, just to see where the lower edge would be in...

    Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1, 2, 3, 4....Stage 5- Reassembly after 13 years!!!

I did a quick comparison of nose braces tonight. I knew they were different between -89 and 89+, I just didn't know how. So here ya go. '88 in black, '89+ in teal. Here's where the differences lie-middlepoint on each side.

    My 88 Turbo Supra

Evo injectors work fine. I had them in my car for a couple years with no problems. You will need new injector connectors, EV1 style. OR- You can get adapters, if you don't feel like cutting and soldering your harness...

    Hp limit for main bolts

    Ahh. Gotcha. That makes sense.

    Dashboard care

I picked it up from a friend. I think he has another one, it's maroon- dunno if your interior is.

    Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1, 2, 3, 4....Stage 5- Reassembly after 13 years!!!

So, I didn't bother with the dash today, afterall. I decided that I want to fill the cooling system first, and pressure test it, before I make the heater core entirely inaccessible. :) Instead, I did a bit more work to the intercooler system. Needed to create mounts for it. Drilled and...

    Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1, 2, 3, 4....Stage 5- Reassembly after 13 years!!!

Finished all the wire routing that I think I need to do. I think it's time to go down to the basement and grab the dash...

    Hp limit for main bolts

I don't see the need to align bore the mains simply because one switches to ARP's. Unlike rod bolts, there is no stress placed on the main saddles by switching to studs from bolts. You're just threading them in by hand after all, not pressing them in. However, I do think that align bore should...

    Infinity Ref Speakers?

I used to run the Inifinity CS1 system waaay back in the day, and loved it. This has no bearing on your speakers, except to say that I like Inifinity's quality. My setup will be similar to Emerica's, but I haven't chosen front speakers yet. I purchased a set of Kevin M's front 6.5" speaker...

    Suspension and Lip

Actually, I like the way that wing fits your car; It looks like an early mkIII wing that is blended into the body line. I normally hate any form of wing that's been taken from another car, but that one kinda works.

    Rough takeoff

I believe so, yes. If your wideband has narrowband emulation, you can substitute it temporarily(or permanently), provided you Wire resistors into the heater circuit. Cant remember what JJ said was needed, as far as the resistor specs.

    Rough takeoff

Just a shot in the dark, but maybe a vac leak.

    hatch floor

What part of the hatch floor? The spare tire well, or does the rust go into other parts as well?

    Dashboard care

I just picked up a fitted dashmat to go on my replacement dash. I think the fitted ones look fine, and you can always pull it off if you're 'showing' your car. But i will also look into a clear window film, since i have to replace my cracked windshield anyway. Also going to pick up the 303...

    Found an odd picture today:

Does the 840ci have the same issues as the 850i? Because i luvs them German popups, too.

    Probe piston rings no more?

For what its worth, i think Probes are a great value in the piston market. People assign false 'max hp' numbers to the probes, yet they are made of the same forged alloy as many of the other high end pistons. Yes, the valve reliefs need to be addressed. But that is literally 15 minutes work with...

Bringing "Old School" back to life

Way to go, man. So much love for the 80's monsters that embarrass the 'Justin Beibers' of the sports car world...(rsx's, sti's, rx8's...)

    Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1, 2, 3, 4....Stage 5- Reassembly after 13 years!!!

I'd heard that JZA70's were a good source for smaller CC's, but there's not alot of those in my junkyards...:) Hoping some early 90's USDM Toyotas came with similar sizes, though.

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Finished wiring my PLX boxes, ran all sensor harnesses through the firewall. Ready to install new dash now.
