Good to see someone else knows their Weird Al. By the way, I think it's sour krout, sauer kraught, sower crouwt, wait, that doesn't seem right... you know what, fuck it. We get what you're saying. :p
Err... huh?
Psh... not even using turbos, lame. :nono:
Just kidding... wonder what would happen if you changed out the internals for a light weight and balanced assembly, then fed it with gasoline? Wait... I know... you'd have what Chuck Norris would drive!
I can agree with you there, 100%. Do it how you want the first time, and hopefully it turns out to be exactly what you were wanting. :)
You know, you guys keep it up with sticking archaic engines in a car that was built 100% for handling, and you're going to make that crazy rotary engine the...
Hi-five of shame from a former fellow 94 Cavalier owner! *
Easier to just answer questions like this by checking the "what didn't he have on that car?" list... :nono:
That... is pretty awesome, I gotta say.
Both things that are VERY true. Only a fool trusts his transportation to only a Supra. (this coming from a guy who's daily driven Supras for about 6 years now... spent a LOT doing it though). :p
I agree with that sentiment, BUT... you got luckier than most that show up on here or people that...
Buddy of mine was going to stuff a 7m in his FC until a bit of reality hit him, and he realized that it would be basically good for straight line driving only, and that all the reinforcing he would have needed to do to keep the torque from breaking the car in half would have made it just as...
Just because they don't post in this section doesn't mean they don't post at all. ;)
Just off the top of my head, I can think of a few that are somewhat frequent posters.
It's also the stock cams on the 1j that are useless beyond 6500. Get some cams, port the heads, and your stock twins are pretty much a restriction beyond 4800 or so... Good idea on the diff change though, I didn't know there was a 4.66 R&P for a G-series diff.
Pretty sure you'd still have to do...
Does this apply to all mechanical gauges? If so, mine might have suffered a bit of fatigue. It's a 100psi gauge, and cold oil pressure hits around 83-84psi before the relief valve opens up. Never drive the car that cold, but still I wonder if the gauge has been damaged.
Just because it can work doesn't make something the best option. ;)
Ask Devin Leblanc on here about his manifold setup, he's done quite well with the CT setups.
Being away from your car for a whole year... man, that might just be one of the worse parts, huh?
Haha, you're playing a game that gets expensive quick. ;)
What happens to the wastegate if you're parked in the rain for a bit? :aigo:
To the OP, I've seen a few people put a 30-45° elbow on the end of the downpipe, dump it out under the passenger door before, but those were all cars that lived exclusively on the track. We don't have much clearance...
Can I have a minute of my life back? :p
Seriously speaking though, where are you that has a parking lot THAT big, that is THAT empty? You never see that here...
So what's stopping you? ;)
I'd guess you'd pick up at least another 100 or 150hp pretty easily. If Ford can make ~420-440hp with 5.0 liters, without doing anything drastic, I figure 600-620 would be pretty easy with similar specs. Question though: why bother? The LS7 already revs to over 7000...
Not a terrible idea, but making one of good quality for the same money (or reasonably close to OEM) is going to be difficult.
They're approximately as wide as the main opening in the bumper, but the fog light areas have their own under cover plastics on some cars.
I believe it, but it doesn't reflect real world conditions as well, does it? As for being quick, a hatch with a nice K or H swap can be pretty quick, I can only imagine a v6...
