yeah im running map ecu now, overall the car runs and drives great, but tuning with it is definetely a pain in the ass.....
you shouldn't just bash on the map-ecu either because if it is really that terrible you have to start bashing on the maft pro and vpc because they also convert the...
hey tookwik.. where did you get your oil intlet restrictor? ATPturbo? just cuz i forgot what size NPT actually goes it the turbo.
DBsupra... how much do you retail a pt63 for? i am thinking this will be my next purchase.
true, i guess its just all a matter of preferance, on my N/A it was trashed because it constantly sprung leaks and with the cover on it is that much harder to pinpoint them...... to every man his own i guess.
imo... turbo lag is so highly over-rated..... how long does it really take you to gain the extra 200-500rpm in 1st or 2nd gear? prolly less time then your brain can comprehend before the turbo kicks you in the ass and your rpm's jump to redline and your focus is drawn to everything...
oh now dont be a hater....... whats the point of having a fast car if you dont use it, and i dont speed when there are other cars around it just so happens that i travel on a freeway where everyone is already doing 90-95 and when empty the temptation is too great;)
BTW: i am due in court on...
please elaborate........ what is the difference between the map-ecu, maft-pro, and VPC as far as the way they convert? it seems everyone with a MKIV and a map ecu loves it but of course that is AFM.
true on all acounts...... and again its just my opinion that its worthless, i have also however seen many times undercovers falling off cars on the freeway, and as a former jiffy lube employee, it is safe to say that that lube shops such as jiffy lube cause 95% off this problem,
but the small...
KYB's and Eibach here..... never had any problems with them, my car corners and Slides like a SOB. deffinately worth it for how cheap they are. but there is obviously better out there,
side note: I have NEVER heard anything good about Tokiko's for more than about 5,000 miles and my friend...
i had 2 perfectly good under covers on both my supras...... they both went strait to the TRASH, regardless of what you say if you ever do ANY work under the car they are a total pain in the ass. and how many rocks actually kick up under your engine? your front tires sure dont claim the task...
no you are talking about the infamous ebay turbos the "T04B" with a .60 cold side a/r and 1.05 hot a/r.... that turbo will NEVER see 500 wheel hp and is just one step above beig total shit. they are made in china.... which is okay for my TV but not my turbo.
the also stated "T61" i hope...
....Hater
it does sound a ton better than the first, will but i would have to play around with it to decide its worthiness. and dont worry mr. hater my next management is still going to be a standalone:icon_bigg
it does look very good,
but this thread is the epitamy of most MKIII owners.... always finding the cheapest way out but willing to spend time and effort.
it will be interesting to see it all finished, but more interesting to see how long it holds up.

says it does boost control as well and goes to 10,000 rpm now, anyone heard more about it? im interested to know how well the timing works..... it still doesn't go below -10 psi tho which is the main thing they needed to change.
yes i have considered that but it is not really possible for me at the moment, the house in the pics is my parents were i go to work on the car everytime i get a chance, but i live 2 hours away.
i would be very sad if i sold it, but i do realize that it is just a car, and i can get another one...
