so... are the pistons in a GE and weaker than those in the GTE or is the only real difference the dish and therefore the compression ratio?

yeah and if you are going to swap a 2j why would it be a GE it would have nothing over the 7m except the name, GTE or nothin.... I believe the GE's are actually the same as a 7m seeing as they used W58 tranny's..... you can use a R154 tranny with a GTE you just need the 1j bellhousing, for...
