Open the back cover and get a pic ;)
Yes it lights both tires once you exceed xx Torque differential between wheels.
As an example of how it works say you have one wheel on the road and the other on grass and stand on it the tire that's on the road gets the power and you drive away, if you...
It's hard to tell but pic 3 looks slightly twisted?
Also grab the Uni's and see if there's any rotation/up-down movement?
Best if the car is on stands and in neutral e-brake off to do this test.
Yep :)
They feel really odd to drive at first and when you do nail it the car stays in a striaght line and doesn't slide down the camber of the road and go sideways like a LSD.
First few times I drove one hard I thought the clutch was slipping badly!
:withstupi
It's all about content guys!
Post mindless drivel or 1>2 word posts and this will die quickly. :(
Get some pics up or what's happening in your part of the world, anything is better than nothing.
Look along the driveshaft and see if the Universal joint caps are all facing the same direction, what you're looking for is if the shaft looks twisted end to end.
TorqueSensitive diff centre ;)
If a wheel slips it transfers the power to the wheel that has grip/traction.
Much nicer to drive than an LSD and don't wear out so are more consistant.
(I use one in my 9")
Only in high shock load situations Pete, I ran one for years above 450rwhp and the only failure I had was a pinion bearing due to high speed oil starvation. (exact same failure with an LSD as well)
4.1's are usually T1 Torsens
I'd have it looked at by a good shop before installing it just to be sure it's not going to shit itself in a week.
The leak may just be someone has pulled the back cover and replaced it without sealing it properly Will.
Damn this is like pulling teeth!
There is a logical progression in diagnosing a problem....
DO THE FP CHECK then if it checks out we'll move onto the next step.
Until then everything else is just BS and smoke..... :nono:
