    Crank is small and flexy, they beat the snot out of bearings from what the guys were telling me. There are a LOT of big power RB motors here as they were fitted to VL Commodores back in the late 80's.

    Polishing? HELP.

    Dremel and a sander to smooth any big ugly patches then find a shop that does header coating and take the parts there and get them to drop em in the vibratory polisher. Return 2 hours later and pick up your shiny smooth part that has no missed corners and you'll still have finger prints left...

    Got my built 7m running last night!! couple questions. Vid. on post 66

    With that much bypass on the Throttle plate it would probably be close without an ICS. Might be an idea to unplug it block the port and see how it behaves. (I run DBW Idle control here and the Throttle is tipped 1% at idle)

    Far too many variables and compromises involved doing it that way and with how cheap standalones are now it makes no sense to take the risk.

    Why on earth would you take a crippled car anywhere near a track let alone push it hard until you sort the problems it's having? Sorry I just don't get this at all, may as well empty the coolant and oil and save time on destroying the engine.
