Why on earth are you giving someone advice on a 750hp build dude?
Seriously ....
You had to ask advice on guides and seals.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but you post as if it's an absolute.
"Stock Cams" are a 10 years ago thing when there were NO alternatives or the very few...
Might have been a touch harsh but not every 7M build is on a "tree fitty" budget ;)
Cams are an integral part and it bugs me seeing it posted that they're "not needed"......
What bore size was the original motor they were fitted to?
The Pauters are a weird shape so need the notches the Cunninghams don't.
I think RonR ran them in his 7M.
Boxing the Seat mount rails then closing in the Trans tunnel with an X brace that intersects the seat mount boxes would have more effect on torsional ridgidity than any of the "connector solutions" I've seen tried here.
It needs to something 3d not on a single flat plane.
It's far easier to make power using a well chosen set of cams.... :nono:
Most of the "A 7M doesn't needs aftermarket cams" bullshit goes back to the old days when there was nothing readily available or affordable.
ANY engine can be optimised with a good Cam set.
The 45 is far too big for a useable street driven car.
The T04z's power delivery down low would at least give the Mk2 a chance of almost hooking up on street tires ;)
Have a look at a few of the Trac vids in my sig to see how the GT3540r reacts midrange with 285/35/18 Falken 451 tires.
At high boost there may be enough Oil polution to lower the Octane in that cylinder to detonation level then it's all over for either the HG or the Ring Lands.
