Normally I'd say America has been doing that for 50+ years already but seeing how much to my shame Australia has overtaken the US per Capita in fat bastards I can't ;)
A lot of these manufacturers view their products as "boutique" parts and charge ridiculous prices, all of the "Tuner Crowd" see them as a badge of honour that they paid the price and have the stickers.
There is NO REASON after the initial development costs have been met to keep charging these...
Again CHECK the valve lash.....

People make mistakes ALL the time.
Still would like to know what the issue is with the probes, I suspect incorrect clearence when it was bored could be the problem.
If so would make much more sense to get another block and a machine shop that can read a mic.
