Can't remember who it was but one of the guys here has done it on a 7M.
Personally I wouldn't bother as the more traditional solutions work well if done correctly and in the past on o-ring/copper HG engines I've had sealing issues with coolant and oil passages.
I have the prototype Whiteline bars I had made back in 1997 with the supplied Poly bushes and have done many 1000's of miles on them and they're still in great condition, no slop or squeaks (I use a Moly Grease when I assemble Poly parts as the noise bugs me)
Probably imagineitis Vas ;)
The fan "may" be slightly out of balance and when it was coupled directly to the engine it might have affected the idle but I doubt it.

I see it at least once a week.
After the weekend you usually come across at least one broken car parked that's hit a kerb and folded a rear wheel under.
A bigger danger to people and property is the Muppet Drifters sliding around in traffic and populated areas.....
This current fad is downright dangerous as most of these kids don't have a clue.
