I ran no booster in my ttv8 240z, and ran a proportioning valve between the seats as the car only weighed 1076 Kg's wet and had 120 litre fuel capacity (110 Kg's) so there was a HUGE change in braking full/empty.
Shouldn't be as noticable in a Mk3 due to it's mass, my car has a 115L tank now...
To do the drain correctly you need to remove the sump and drill the passages, the pads are all there just undrilled.
If you do the return into the pan make sure it's NOT in line with a rod and keep it as high as possible. (not a big fan of doing it this way)
Short runners = power band shifts higher up the rev range
Long runners moves it down.
Large plenum volume softens the hit as it comes on full boost
Small volume makes it hit harder.
These are just the basics I've found in testing combinations of each from 40mm long runners to full...
