It looks mild/low temp enough that the head "should" be fine but I'd be checking it for hardness on the exhaust side (last 7M I burnt down like this survived fine) ;)
I had a run in with this guy awhile back over something I posted as a joke so figured I'd try and keep it as professional as possible, on SF I tend not to care as much ;)
If the bottom pully isn't a snug fit on the crank you can get seepage past the pully along the keyway and into the lower timing cover.
A smear of RTV on assembly solves this one.
The thing I find so attractive about the MoTeC system is it only listens to each cylinder for an 10 degree range after TDC on the power stroke so ignores all of the background noise, you actually tune it for the precise range of knock noise on the dyno then it can trim cylinders if some are...
Correct it's either blocked or under voltage so lets just enough fuel in for it to do a really good impersonation of a plasma cutter (Al spray on the rod is a dead giveaway)
It's doing the machine shop an injustice to blame this on them.
