How is the adjacent steel affected by the heat from the "penetration welding"?

For a sustained high rpm/output motor those main clearences are fine, I found going tight on a 7M produced some really funky wear patterns due to crank and block flex, opened it up a little and the wear went away.

This sort of thing bothers me as I know better..... the axles are enough for me to want to crush it let alone the 100's of other custom things he's done.

A Valve job on a 24v head is always going to be a pita due to the sheer number of operations required to do it properly, cheap job are usually so half assed you end up with junk so it's well worth spending some extra $ at a trusted shop.
Do you trust this shop to NOT lie to you?
I think the one I looked at was a Castrol version Pete.

I'm going to try the Zyrex in the new engine unless I can find some data that countraindicates it for an Al/Al engine.
The Toyota Red is damn expensive here.
