Stick it in park :)
If you want to get techie about it use a beam style torque wrench on the Hub centre nut and this will give you an exact breakaway range.
But as you're going to a Torsen jsut checking the LSD by hand as I described should be enough to confirm if it's still working or...
You need to lock the driveshaft then have a helper hold one wheel while you try to rotate the other, this is the breakaway pressure of the LSD.
Worn out it will be very low.
LOL'd @ the aircleaner "mod" :D
In the past I've found Oil temps to follow coolant temps, I run a coolant T-Stat around 180ish so the 215 doesn't really make much sense to me.
Got pics of the piping?
Spacers aren't a great idea as it lets the plenum in front of the screen suck in oily fumes and this feeds into the car when on the fresh air setting.
Really interesting FloTex, I'm using a MoCal 180 T-Stat this time and had used a PermaCool 180 the last build.
Not sure if I agree with Cantons reasoning on this one.
Too many variables to say, Bigger the better if your ignition can fire it without spark blowout around torque peak.
Start big then test if you get a stumble around 5000rpm, drop 4 thou and try again until it pulls cleanly then drop 2 thou to be safe and that will be YOUR optimal gap.
When they explode they break into very small fragments.....
"Aluminium oxide" oxide ring any bells?
The particles are very abrasive as I siad I wouldn't be trusting a fresh engine to an IC that's had a Turbo let go, you can do as you please.
