Check the impedence on the Coils (TRSM has the specs)
Check the coils for cracks/carbon tracks
Test the leads
Yes it sounds like it's blowing the spark out, if you could adjust the map adding a few degrees in from 4500>5000 will usually cure it if you have enough octane overhead for it...
So you have no way of adding timing in a map?
If not about all you can do is drop the plug gaps some more or go with hotter coils, it's just blowing the spark out around torque peak, I ran into this with the 7M a LOT....
For it to be so low I'm guessing the Coils are almost dead though.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
leave the front cover alone!!
The Pully should just pop off, might need a couple of screw drivers, be a good idea to throw a seal at it while you're in there.
Or put the aftermarket sender on a M/F adaptor and screw it into the forward port, I did this when I still had my stock dash and wanted the MoTeC to have fast accurate OP input.
Back in 1999 I did 75000 Km's (46600 miles) and used CC for 90% of it, I wouldn't own a car without CC, if you're worried about it being "ugly" in the bay it's on a flex cable just relocate it under the inner fender plastics....
