Good tune and NO detonation they would be quite high, back in the stone age I ran my 3.4L Toyota V8 with NO IC, Pump fuel, meth injection, really low comp and 30 psi on Composite gaskets.
The aftermarket one I'm using this time is a little narrower than stock but does have double the tubes of the one Toyota used.

All depends on the cleaning method used, if you do it the Rich way 100% need to be replaced if it's done the way I suggested and the solution doesn't eat the babbit material and the mic up ok no ;)
If you have the replaced make sure it's by someone that has a clue and make sure they have the...
Pretty sure there's a shifter for a Soarer that fits a Mk3, I think SDJ70r did a write up on the install, gimme a sec I'll see if I can find it.

Appears I've stepped on a few toes with this subject, my advice is given to provide the best chance for success as I tire of the "Built a 7M and am having xxx issues" resulting in part outs a few months after kids have dropped ALL their coin into a car that "could" have been fine...
Been some reports of ACL's found in 77 boxes recently Rich, NDC's are a great bearing never had an issue with them that wasn't my fault and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
What I do have an issue with is if you're paying a premium for 77 technology which the NDC's just don't have, here...
Don't know if they're stocked anywhere there but "SpeedFlow" are a locally produced alternative that are much more affordable than Russel/Earls and damn good quality.
