Could a hack engine swap be causing my fuel problems?

the swap wouldnt have anything to do with running lean. (the wiring harnesses between 87 and 91 are different, so he must have used an 87-88 wiring harness) it could be a number of things causing your problem, including, but not limited to: fuel filter clogged injectors clogged pickup...

    Vapor lock?

LMAO!!! i havent actually laughed out loud in a long time, but this did it! i dont think the ECU has a high temperature feature. i bet that Shawndude would know. i overheated my N/A once, and it was still running flawlessly, aside from the pegged temp. needle. coincidence. odd? yes. was...

    octane question

well, in theory, you should run the LOWEST octante possible without pinging. higher octane gas is harder to burn, and burns more slowly. if you can seriously moniter pinging and whatnot, your car will run better on lower octane gas because it burns more quickly. many people think of high...

    Vapor lock?

being low on coolant wouldnt make the car stall... you could run the car dry of coolant, and it would run great till you melt it. :) -shaeff

Engine struggles after Lexus AFM/550cc installed...

thats because there is a factor plug blocking off the screw. you need to drill it out, and pop it out with a screwdriver in order to see the screw:) -shaeff
