i had the same problem. when i pulled the trim right near the release in the back i noticed that my cable was about 3/4" too long. i got a tiny piece of brass pipe, cut it lengthwise, opened it, and put it on the cable to take up the gap to the ball end. now when i pop my trunk, it opens...

i doubt it, as the charcoal canister is only used to vent fuel vapors from the gas tank. you dont have the lines blocked off do you? you must have a vented gas cap or a line venting it to somewhere... -shaeff

ok, if you have a pre-89 harness, you cant use an 89+ ECU. it just wont work. the colors of the plugs MUST match. (grey to grey) or (yellow to yellow in your case) did the 89+ ECU even plug into the pre89 harness? i cant imagine that it would, as i believe the plugs are different, so that could...
