if you're keeping your motor, for the most part, stock (below 400hp) its supposedly a worthwhile upgrade. they are by no means, HOT CAMS. if you're going for bigger hp goals, you'll lose some at the top end.
heres a link...
haha, definately agreeing with you an an odd manner, i suppose. it's a common misconception that the starter needs to be taken out on the 89+ motors, when, infact, it doesnt for the rewire. i was just trying to make that more clear. i suppose i failed. haha.

no. the only thing that is related to knock sensors code-wise is CODE 52 which is NOT when the sensors detect detonation. 52 is when there is a bad connection between the sensor(s) and the ECU, or when one of your KS's are malfunctioning (read dead).
when knock and/or detonation is detected...
OR, you could just do it right the first time and do the SOGI re-wire. it took me less than an hour total. it might take a new guy/gal to the car about 2 hours to do.
why half ass it and use the wires that are AT LEAST 13 years old!? that makes no sense. just replace them, and never deal...
you could just get a recirculated DDP, if you want. there are still gains from it, just have him re-route it back to where the dp is horizontal.

code 52 is when the wires to the knock sensors, or the knock sensors themselves go bad. basically, you need to do the SOGI re-wire, and make sure your knock sensors havent shit the bed. (very unusual, they rarely go bad)
many people think a code 52 means they have rodknock, which is UNTRUE...
i think that it would look odd because the body dips down back there, then goes back up. it's all a matter of personal preference anyway, but i wouldnt do it.

i'm running Koni yellows with my eibachs, and i love them. i've got the fronts set to full firm, and the rear to full soft. (still tighter than stock) and, koni's (if i remember correctly) have a lifetime guarantee, which means that if you kill one, send it back to them and they'll send you a...
get some new crappy foam gaskets for the tails from the toyota dealer, and coat each side with a generous amount of grey RTV sealer. i did this, and i havent had a problem in over a year.

yes, they fit. it's a bolt in upgrade. i wish i had a set of 90-92 speaker pods so i didnt have to custom mount my 6.5 rockfords.
you're a lucky man. you should use the door skin that goes with them too, as there is a larger opening for the speakers, or just CAREFULLY widen the ones in your...
