visualizes Mel Gibson collecting dripping fuel in a broken headlight*
to the point, do you mean the big fuel filler pipe? or one of the fuel lines that supply the engine.
wow, all you ABQ guys. God I miss the pick-a-part yards there.
Its not recommended but I had to machine my front timing cover after my block was already done. I decided I didnt want to take the whole mess back into the shop so I bolted the cover to the block and used a brand new flat file and...
you could concievably overheat the floorboard and cause a fire....:aigo:
but you would have to probably run it really rich and on a track for a few laps for that to happen. As far as I know other than being loud there is no drawback.
Good for you! In the end its just a car. I know all about frustrating gremlins that wont go away. Start fresh later. In the meantime enjoy the mk4 build.
one was what? wet? oil covered?
Either way its not good. You can try cleaning them but the oil/water is getting there from somewhere (BHG, bad rings, valve seals). If its that bad then you are looking at major repairs. Like I said, I would contact the shop that did the work. Make em tow it...

wow, Tim, Im beginning to think you are right, lol.

There isnt an adjustment screw like some others. If you want to change how much boost it can withstand you have to change the spring inside (never done this myself, for me it was perfect out of the box). I ran 15-18 lbs on mine with a Greddy PROfec B spec II controller.
Ahh yes...recruits for the 3E5 camp. yes $1500 is a very good price, even with its issues. Nice looking car...get that BHG fixed and she should serve you well for a long time.
EDIT: bah, I type slow and was beat to that point like 4 times, lol.
An STB is a good place to hang your shop rags and rest your arm when you are changing your plugs though. ;)
