breaking a drill bit off in it is going to compound matters thats for sure. Welding is out of the question unless you know how to weld aluminum and can find an aluminum stud. epoxy products are not likely to hold up as the repair will be under constant tension and I dont know of a product that...
The problem with pain and suffering compensation is its all subjective. When I had my bike accident my laywer told me to expect $100k for every time they took a scalpel to me (twice in my case). The numbers you gave seem a bit low to me as well, but I also hate to see people try to get greedy...
Hes got waterspots and you recommend sandpaper? 120grit sandpaper on alloy wheels no less? do you like creating more work for yourself? Maybe if he was trying to take out some mild road rash I could see it. Not to mention it was never established if the wheels were CC'd or not. Take 120 grit...
Helicoil'ing is the process of replacing the threads in a stripped out bolt hole, for which you would need a "hole" to apply the process to, which you dont have, cause its full of a broken bolt bit.....therefore the reason you cant helicoil it in the first place....
Like I said, Hommer got the...
From what I heard your surge was mostly in the low boost range. That happens because the boost pressure isnt enough to overcome a sticky or stubborn BOV/BPV. Changing his BPV for aftermarket (or replacement stock for that matter) wont increase his boost unless indeed the BPV is leaking which is...
Hommer, Im not disagreeing that he may indeed need to helicoil them in the end, Im just saying its USUALLY a good idea to put the "horse before cart"
And obviously the threads held up, otherwise there wouldnt be a part of a bolt stuck in it.
Hommer you dork, LOL, he needs to get the bolts out before he does anything. With luck he wont have to helicoil at all.
You can use some heavy grease (wheel bearing grease works good) right at the spot around where you are drilling to catch the shavings (This can make it hard to see where...
helicoil wont do any good with the bolt still in the head.
Ive had marginal success with left twist drill bits. With any drilling on a snapped steel bolt in an aluminum base the biggest problem is getting a clean center hole drilled into a usually non-flat surface without slipping off and...
browsed through some of your other photos as well, VERY nice command of composition and color. Im impressed.
When you say last day here, what do you mean?
Excellent movie - Shawshank Redemption
Sooooo many good quotes from this one but I'll try obscure:
"The dead know only one thing: it is better to be alive"
Army of Darkness
Sam Raimi is the reason I went back to school and got a film degree. While I prefer the two prequals to that film it is nevertheless a classic..."Don't touch that please, your primitive intellect wouldn't understand things with alloys and compositions and things with...
The DP is gonna leave your sensor real close to the firewall anyway. You should be able to run your wiring in therough the firewall where the main harness goes.
An air compressor that can keep up witha die grinder woundnt be cheap, but one that you can do spits and spurts can be had for under $300. My air compressor and tools are lifesavers and I would never be without them ever again. I would highly recommend getting one.
It wouldnt be the end of the...
