    Let me see your trunks!

I was able to make that box 1.5cu/ft which what what my sub called for for a sealed enclosure. It stuck up out of the spare tire well a little and I had to flatten the bottom of the welll with a big ass hammer, but it fit tight enough to fit under the false floor which was my big concern. I...

What in the hell have I gotten myself into?

<--waits for "Neckgina" pics Dude, the sore throat must be from the breathing tube, those things suck. Your body has been through major trauma and now is on serious narcotics, a little feaver is nothing. But it will get better each day and soon you wont even remember that it hurts. (14 days...

88 Turbo Old Man Project Car

ohh yeah that keyway looks far worse than I first thought. but sounds like you made the call already. As far as the forged pistons go, those Probes arent far off from stock price and seem like a good cheap way to go forged. I know nothing about em at all so thats not an endorsement. However...

88 Turbo Old Man Project Car

Grim, do you really think forged is worth the extra cost considering his power goals and addon plans? Im still of the opinion that a properly built stock bottom end with a MHG is more than strong enough for 300-400 hp. I guess what it comes down to for me is if there is room in the budget for...

    Skeptical Supra guy

I recall seeing someones thread on here how they fixed a badly decomposing window frame by scavaging bits from another car. Didnt look like it was any fun and not something the average joe could do.

    Farewell To the N/A

so you are having a shop do all or most of the work for you? wow, not only expensive but you miss out on all the joy (and pain) of doing it yourself. I know, its just me but Im a "journey" nor a "destination" kinda guy. However, that being said should be a damn nice ride when done and exciting...

    Skeptical Supra guy

I dont think anyone wants to piss on your parade, but some of us have seen our fair share of "Im gonna buy this supra and fix it up, it will be neeto bandito...", but if you have the time, money, patience, money, skills, money, knowhow...and did I mention money, you can turn ANY lump of coal...

    eFFeT's Swedish Powered Supra MKIII

Judging from what that mold looks like it isnt so much a FFIM as it is a center feed flipped over to come in from the other side. Very innovative and should compliment the somewhat exotic twins on the other side nicely.

    Electric fan problems, again...

Well there are a couple of hoses there as well. Im willing to bet you have a leak at one of those turbo lines. But, is that all the cause of your heat control problem? I dont know if that would be enough. Are you losing any amount of coolant over a day or two? and I would think if you are...

    Electric fan problems, again...

back on topic... So the drip is coming from above the water pump? That makes me think t-stat housing area. Maybe one of the turbo coolant hoses? or even just the t-stat cover?

88 Turbo Old Man Project Car

nice methodical teardown, and I can see your bins you have labeled for the stuff you take off. I hope you are also using baggies for your bolts and other small hardware. A bucket of hot soapy water and a toilet brush (dont laugh it works great) will do alot for cleaning up the engine bay. I...

New Engine Set-Up Finally In *PICS*

hindsight being 20/20, might have been good to have the machine shop assemble the bottom end in house, that way if something is wrong its on them. Would have cost more initially but would have saved it in the end. But like you said, assembly isnt that hard as long as you follow proper proceedure...

The $2008 Grassroots challenge build-up thread

My also red Supra was cursed when I got it too. $4000 and 6 months later, it was exorcised. And Like Grim said, they are like women, so usually if you just keep throwing money at them they will leave you alone.

replacing a water pump isnt a hard job and can certanily be tackled in an apartment lot. You know full well the consequences of an inadaquate cooling system in the 7m. Get to it soon.
